My Approach
My goal is to educate and empower clients to make confident, informed decisions about their health and well-being
My Approach
Personalized, Root-Cause Nutrition to Support Whole-Body Wellness
I take a holistic, functional approach to uncovering the root causes of your health concerns—honoring your bio-individuality and the innate intelligence of the body. Together, we dig deep to identify potential imbalances, deficiencies, or toxic burdens. From restoring gut health and addressing food sensitivities to balancing blood sugar and hormones and supporting gentle detoxification, every step is designed to align with your body’s natural healing process.
Foundations First
Supporting What Matters Most
I begin by addressing the five core foundations of health: digestion, blood sugar regulation, hydration, mineral balance, and fatty acid balance. These pillars rest on one essential base—a properly prepared, nutrient-dense, whole-food diet.
Because many chronic health issues, from hormonal imbalances to cardiovascular and immune dysfunction, stem from weaknesses in these foundations, this is where we start. By strengthening these systems, we help bring your body’s chemistry back into balance and create the conditions for long-term wellness.
Bio-Individuality
There’s No One-Size-Fits-All Plan
Every person is unique—and so are their nutritional needs. Genetics, early life experiences, health history, toxic exposures, diet, and lifestyle all play a role in shaping your current health.
That’s why I take a highly personalized approach to care. Each recommendation is thoughtfully tailored to your individual goals, using targeted nutrition and lifestyle strategies designed to support your body, your history, and your future.
Client Intake & Functional Labs
A Personalized Approach to Understanding Your Health
To truly understand your unique health needs, I begin with a comprehensive client intake process, followed by targeted functional lab testing. This combination gives us a detailed picture of your gut health, metabolic function, nutritional status, and endocrine system. By uncovering the root causes of imbalances and assessing your body’s highest healing needs, we can develop a personalized, actionable plan that addresses these areas and supports long-term wellness.
Innate Intelligence
Empowering Your Body’s Natural Healing Power
Our bodies are innately designed for health and vitality. When properly nourished and balanced, they possess an extraordinary ability to heal and thrive. Whether you're looking to start or grow your family, improve digestion, balance your hormones, or simply feel your best, I am here to guide and support you on your path to wellness. Through my holistic approach, we tap into the body’s natural intelligence to restore balance and achieve optimal health.

FAQs
Do you take insurance?
I don’t take insurance, and while that may make you pause, it is not actually a bad thing. In a world where we’re used to co-pays and 15-minute appointments, Nutritional Therapy is unique in that many hours are spent before and after our meetings to customize a plan that respects your unique needs. In short, it is a different model of care than what insurance typically covers.
Do you work with long-distance clients?
Yes, I conduct all sessions via virtual meeting room (online). Your remote sessions are completely private and confidential.
How long will it take for me to get well?
This depends on many factors, including how long you’ve had your symptoms, how severe they are, and how well you follow your healing plan. I believe that our bodies don’t switch to a dysfunctional state overnight so we can’t expect them to return back to a healthier state that quickly. Achieving optimal health through a root-cause approach typically requires at least 3-4 months of intentional work and commitment.
Am I going to have to cook all the time?
Only if you want to! I am a recipe collector and a budding developer and will be happy to share my collection with you. Cooking does not have to be complicated or stressful. I like to use as few ingredients as possible which makes cooking less overwhelming. A few basic kitchen skills and a quick lesson on flavor combinations and you will be on your way to success. I can also help you slowly integrate batch cooking and meal preparation practices so cooking doesn’t feel like a chore. But alas, I’m a realist and a foodie and appreciate a good restaurant meal even with kids. I can provide new ways of looking at menus and guidance for making choices that support your body chemistry to keep you moving toward wellness.
Do you work with children/families?
Yes, I love working with children and parents who want to change their family's eating habits and improve their nutrient intake.
Do I have to take supplements?
I always take a food-first approach to nutrition. However, due to modern farming practices, our soil today is not what it used to be. Nutrient-depleted soil means that the nutritional contents of fruits, vegetables, and grains have also been compromised. Sometimes, supplements can be useful to fill in the gaps a little more quickly. During our consult, we will determine if nutritional supplements would be beneficial to correct any deficiencies that food alone cannot.
Why should we work on my gut if I have no digestive symptoms?
In functional nutrition, digestion is the most important healing priority because when it is not optimal, a cascade of downstream detrimental effects is created that can lead to a myriad of health issues: skin conditions, migraines, blood sugar imbalances/sugar cravings, thyroid dysfunction, immune challenges, hormone imbalances, and more. This is why even in the absence of digestive symptoms, we almost always start with gut work. As the gut rebalances, it is not uncommon for many of these other symptoms to resolve and if symptoms persist, it provides us with clues on how to focus our work. Testing is the only true way to know if there is an infection – be it parasitic, fungal, or bacterial or if there is a functional issue, meaning the digestive capacity and ability to repair itself is impaired. To achieve whole body health, we must optimize the gut terrain.
