My Approach

My goal is to educate and empower clients to make confident, informed decisions about their health and well-being

My Approach: The Vibrant Reset

Data-Driven, Root-Cause Functional Nutrition for Lifelong Vitality.

I take a restorative, functional approach to uncovering the root causes of your health concerns—honoring your unique bio-individuality and the innate intelligence of the body.

Whether you are navigating the complex hormonal shifts of the midlife transition, recovering from years of chronic stress, or noticing that the lifestyle strategies that used to work for you have suddenly stopped, your internal biochemistry is telling a story.

In my practice, I don't believe in a band-aid approach. We don't chase symptoms or rely on generic internet trends. Instead, we use advanced functional lab testing to look under the hood, identify underlying cellular imbalances, and build an unbreakable foundation for lifelong vibrancy.

The 6 Fundamentals

Supporting What Matters Most

True hormonal balance and metabolic resilience do not exist in a vacuum. Chronic health issues—from stubborn weight gain and brain fog to crashing fatigue, digestive distress, and immune dysfunction—almost always stem from hidden weaknesses in the body's core systems. To bring your body’s chemistry back into natural balance, my methodology systematically audits and restores the 6 Fundamentals:

  • Digestion & Gut Health: Your GI tract dictates nutrient absorption, houses the majority of your immune system, and metabolizes key hormones. If your gut is compromised, your systemic health will be too.

  • Blood Sugar Regulation: Stable glucose is the absolute baseline for steady daily energy, mood stability, and preventing metabolic dysfunction. It is also critical for keeping stress and sex hormones in check.

  • Liver Health & Gentle Detoxification: The liver is your primary clearance engine. If it is sluggish, metabolic byproducts, environmental toxins, and recycled hormones back up into your system rather than being properly excreted.

  • Systemic Inflammation: Chronic, low-grade inflammation acts as a cellular handbrake, hijacking your hormone receptors, damaging tissue, and stalling your metabolism.

  • Nutrient & Mineral Status: Your body cannot physically repair tissue, manufacture hormones, or produce cellular energy without optimal micronutrient, mineral, and fatty acid balance.

  • Stress & Sleep Quality: Chronic stress forces your nervous system into survival mode, shifting resources away from metabolic flexibility, digestion, and sex hormone production. You cannot out-diet a dysregulated stress response.

Clinical Investigation: Client Intake & Functional Labs

Data Over Guesswork

To truly understand your internal terrain, we must look at the data. My comprehensive client intake process is paired with targeted, advanced functional lab testing. Instead of guessing, we look deeply into your biochemistry, drawing from options such as:

  • Advanced Stool Testing & Food Sensitivity Panels (To evaluate microbiome diversity, dysbiosis, immunological triggers, and gut integrity)

  • Comprehensive Blood Chemistry (To track metabolic health, lipid markers, thyroid function, immune health, systemic inflammation, and nutrient status)

  • Functional Hormone Panels (To assess endocrine, adrenal, and cycle function)

  • Nutrigenomic Testing (To understand your unique DNA, genetic expressions, and predispositions)

This data allows us to bypass the information overload and internet noise, pinpoint your body’s highest healing priorities, and create a clear, personalized, and practical roadmap.

Bio-Individuality

There is No One-Size-Fits-All Plan

There is no single diet, protocol, or supplement that works for everyone. Health is deeply influenced by your genetics, early-life experiences, toxic exposures, health history, and current lifestyle.

You are not a symptom, a diagnosis, or an age number—you are a whole person. That’s why I take a highly personalized approach to care. Each recommendation is thoughtfully tailored to your individual physiology and lifestyle, providing interventions that gracefully evolve as your body heals.

Honoring Innate Intelligence

Empowering Your Body’s Natural Healing Power

Our bodies are remarkably resilient, beautifully complex, and innately designed for health and vitality. When you remove the obstacles (like gut dysbiosis, blood sugar rollercoasters, and nutrient deficiencies) and provide the correct cellular support, your body possesses an extraordinary ability to self-regulate, heal, and thrive.

Whether you are looking to navigate the midlife transition with grace, reclaim your physical and mental edge, or resolve chronic symptoms that have held you back for years, I am here to guide you with compassion, clinical expertise, and practical tools. Together, we tap into your body's natural intelligence to restore balance and achieve optimal health from the inside out.

FAQs

Do you take insurance?

I don’t take insurance, and while that may make you pause, it is not actually a bad thing. In a world where we’re used to co-pays and 15-minute appointments, Nutritional Therapy is unique in that many hours are spent before and after our meetings to customize a plan that respects your unique needs. In short, it is a different model of care than what insurance typically covers.

Do you work with long-distance clients?

Yes, I conduct all sessions via virtual meeting room (online). Your remote sessions are completely private and confidential.

How long will it take for me to get well?

This depends on many factors, including how long you’ve had your symptoms, how severe they are, and how well you follow your healing plan. I believe that our bodies don’t switch to a dysfunctional state overnight so we can’t expect them to return back to a healthier state that quickly. Achieving optimal health through a root-cause approach typically requires at least 3-4 months of intentional work and commitment.

Am I going to have to cook all the time?

Only if you want to! I am a recipe collector and a budding developer and will be happy to share my collection with you. Cooking does not have to be complicated or stressful. I like to use as few ingredients as possible which makes cooking less overwhelming. A few basic kitchen skills and a quick lesson on flavor combinations and you will be on your way to success. I can also help you slowly integrate batch cooking and meal preparation practices so cooking doesn’t feel like a chore. But alas, I’m a realist and a foodie and appreciate a good restaurant meal even with kids. I can provide new ways of looking at menus and guidance for making choices that support your body chemistry to keep you moving toward wellness.

Do you work with children/families?

Yes, I love working with children and parents who want to change their family's eating habits and improve their nutrient intake.

Do I have to take supplements?

I always take a food-first approach to nutrition. However, due to modern farming practices, our soil today is not what it used to be. Nutrient-depleted soil means that the nutritional contents of fruits, vegetables, and grains have also been compromised. Sometimes, supplements can be useful to fill in the gaps a little more quickly. During our consult, we will determine if nutritional supplements would be beneficial to correct any deficiencies that food alone cannot.

Why should we work on my gut if I have no digestive symptoms?

In functional nutrition, digestion is the most important healing priority because when it is not optimal, a cascade of downstream detrimental effects is created that can lead to a myriad of health issues: skin conditions, migraines, blood sugar imbalances/sugar cravings, thyroid dysfunction, immune challenges, hormone imbalances, and more. This is why even in the absence of digestive symptoms, we almost always start with gut work. As the gut rebalances, it is not uncommon for many of these other symptoms to resolve and if symptoms persist, it provides us with clues on how to focus our work. Testing is the only true way to know if there is an infection – be it parasitic, fungal, or bacterial or if there is a functional issue, meaning the digestive capacity and ability to repair itself is impaired. To achieve whole body health, we must optimize the gut terrain.
